As far as I know Dynadot has now blocked non API drop catching. That script probably used to work, but now DD bans IPs that do multiple lookups within few seconds.

So after a few seconds it will yield false results. At least that is what happened to my non API dynadot drop catching script. I now use software that utilises the DD API instead. All you need for that to work is the DD bulk payment plan.

Moniker is best for this, though i doubt it will match the speed DD. My DD script (non api based) doesnt seem to block ips though only lookups seconds apart are done outside the api. Moniker's api with php will give you a somewhat good setup

PHP Curl is the easiest. All you have to do is build the URL and away you go.

It's one call put in a loop with a delay if it's .com (you can only request 10 times in 100 seconds).

It's about 8 lines of PHP code but you need over $500 in the account spent column for the last 12months.

I dropped below the threshold and was using CURL to do the whole check.add.checkout; however, as mentioned this fails now. Firstly because they changed the page layout.. and then after I reparsed because I get blocked for "too many attempts".

I looked into Name but they won't allow drop/catch.

So I've totally given up and now spend my time learning Drupal 7 changes I'm a but fearful of Theming though which is what I really want to do.

I use Exprons desktop drop catcher software.. Though it is currently back in Beta.

Regarding the 500$ in your account. You do not need to have 500$ in your account. You need enough to cover the registration costs of the domains you are trying to catch AND you need to have the bulk price plan. Which means that you just need to have spent 500$ during the last 12 months.

I wanted to use Expron, but for some reason there is no reply to emails sent to them and there is no activity from the company on namepros as well. Does it work well for Moniker?

I was using non API drop catcher from expron but that does not work as of now because it is not able to login. Expron says he is working ..but no results at present.
