Problem with links in HTML site

Hi there,
I could successfully add a blog (wordpress) to a site which is developed in simple HTML. ( you can see the website at NewGenre Software and BPO Solutions - Designed totally using simple html). But while i tried to give links like blog/index/sample-post.htm its not working. Still now it is showing the "blog/?p=123" like links. Could you tell me what is wrong? See the blog at SEO tips from SEO Experts

He is expert of experts Trying to spread his links I guess

Anyway answering the OP's question I think you can just login to your admin and use permalink. [If it is wordpress]
If other scenario then you can use mod_rewrite .htaccess stuff.

not that actually. Am just working there for small scale web designing purposes. like wp installation/ html css site developement etc. I tried all the possibilities even with htaccess misc file every info available in net. don't know what is wrong.. Even asked in the wp forum too..There i could see many with same problem.

I think the actual problem is with hosting panel. Because in the other blogs when i tried this it s working pretty well..

And the last question, ""so, you're an seo "expert" who doesn't know how to optimize wordpress for seo?

no one at "new genre soft" knows how to do this?"" - If i tell there that i could not do this and please do help, am out the next moment.

have a look at the .htaccess. make sure it's writeable then try to make the changes again so that your .htaccess gets updated.

Maybe your server doesn't support htaccess? Or mod rewrites.

Ah man. I think this could be the issue related to wordpress installation itself?

I just saw that your blog is in sub directory called "seoblog"

Check out your database via phpMyAdmin and see in wp_options that things are correct and are correctly mapped to this subfolder.

Also yes the .htaccess should now be inside that seoblog directory which has to do anything with this blog.

Just ignore your main domain and main site for a moment and only think inside this directory.

DANG.

I can see you are not having Apache on UNIX machine.

It says it is Server Type: Microsoft-IIS/6.0

Possibly it could be this too which is messing it up.

Hi friend,
thank you very much for your concern. But the status still is terrible though I could follow all the guidelines and procedures.

Have mod edited .htaccess and its inside seoblog dir too....
