How To: Install WordPress on my server?

Hello,

I wish my server company..ThePlanet.com had a simple integrated setup for WordPress but they don't.

ThePlanet.com will install for money of course and my buddy/programmer is on a nice long vacation.

I assume the software has to be installed on my root directory?

Or for each individual domain in cpanel?

Any help or links would be appreciated. I did check out YouTube videos but still need help.

Thanks,
Paul

Update: I just signed up for a new hosting service....$7 per month that has wordpress in the cpanel for easy setup....so...thanks for any and all pms.

Cancer
Not sure if you could do it in root directory and have it activated for multiple domains.

As far as I know you will have to install wordpress for each individual domains.
See if your cpanel supports fantastico. If it does your life would be easier. You can install wordpress with just one click. (1 domain per install).

OR

You may have to manually download the latest version of wordpress from wordpress.org. Unzip the files and upload it to your server. You need to create a database on your server and assign the credentials in the respective file....

Hope this helps...
Incase if you need help I can install it on your server for a nominal price...
