what codes do i put in ERROR pages
for it to return to the main page search page??

what normally triggers off an error page?

you will have to make the redirect yourself unless you make your search page the standard error pages using something like htaccess.

The most common are ussually page not found (404).

http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec10.html has a list of error codes along with a description of each
