Need a free script if possible...

Hi everyone.

I'm going to give a free 5-day autoresponder course. Due to the CAN-Spam
Act and the possibility of someone lodging a spam complaint against my
hosting provider, I need a script which will capture the date, time, and IP
address of the person who will subscribe using my form.

There's one that sells this but I don't have the money for it. Plus the owner
sells licenses to use it which I can't afford, of course.

Know of any? I tried searching using hotscripts and the like, but it's like
finding the proverbial needle in the haystack.

its pretty easy to do,

do you currently run an opt in mailling list as this is what is required in most countries, you have to verify the person is who they say they are ie by sending them a confirmation email which if they do not click on a link their email address will be deleted from the list.

True. But I need those details anyway, especially the date, time and IP add.

That way, if someone complains to my hosting provider about it, I can provide
those as proof. Nowadays it's not enough as well to just have the person
confirm his/her optin without some specifics.
