Wordpress 404 Annoyance

Hi guys,

Hopefully this is in correect place.

Anyway, my blog ( C905 ) has had a few 404 errors as indicated by Google Webmasters.

My Wordpress theme already has a theme style 404 page setup - the problem is, if you go to a non-existent page such as my URL above /test.html - the 404 shows every 4/5 refreshes - not all the time.

Does anyone know why this is? I've done some research and tried a few things with htaccess to make the 404 page consistent but had no luck

Many thanks for reading.

Hmm that is mighty strange. For me it didnt work the first 5 refreshes but after that it worked 100% in internet explorer.

In Firefox it worked 100% from the start.

The headers seem fine so unsure what might be causing it. Possibly the file size. I know if a page isless than x amount of KB's the browsers will ignore the custom 404 but your page from first glance looks like the size will be big enough.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I've just noticed that it works 100% time in FF and Chrome. The thing that gets me now is that the guy who designed the blog - his demo works 100% in IE!??

Thanks again
