![]() | Wordpress 404 Annoyance Hi guys, Hopefully this is in correect place. Anyway, my blog ( C905 ) has had a few 404 errors as indicated by Google Webmasters. My Wordpress theme already has a theme style 404 page setup - the problem is, if you go to a non-existent page such as my URL above /test.html - the 404 shows every 4/5 refreshes - not all the time. Does anyone know why this is? I've done some research and tried a few things with htaccess to make the 404 page consistent but had no luck Many thanks for reading. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hmm that is mighty strange. For me it didnt work the first 5 refreshes but after that it worked 100% in internet explorer. In Firefox it worked 100% from the start. The headers seem fine so unsure what might be causing it. Possibly the file size. I know if a page isless than x amount of KB's the browsers will ignore the custom 404 but your page from first glance looks like the size will be big enough.

![]() | Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I've just noticed that it works 100% time in FF and Chrome. The thing that gets me now is that the guy who designed the blog - his demo works 100% in IE!?? Thanks again
