Done with tuts!

What should I do to start coding? I know the basics of php and mysql, though I can not think of any projects to undertake as a beginner. Could anyone help me with this? What is easy yet a good learning experience?

Build a secure login system, I advise you do it in OOP so you have a class to use in the future, you'll no doubt need one when you develop in the future, so you might as well build one now so you're familar with it.

^^ good suggestion from Daniel for a reusable project.

i'd recommend a small content management system ( menu hierarchy, page editing, admin area, templating, caching system ), as this involves solving lots of common problems.

Go to other forums and use your PHP knowledge to help others. The best form of learning is helping others with their issues. It expands on your knowledge A LOT and if you ever come by that error you know what you are dealing with. Plus while you are looking into other peoples issues you may be sidetracked and find yourself with even more help.
