![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Cpanel Email Question Wasn't sure were to post this so i'll just put it here! Right... i am in the process of setting up a site for a company. They have asked me to set up there email address. Here is what i have done so far, i have set up the emails to be forwarded from the akward webmail info@xxxxxxx.com to personaladdress@hotmail.com as they requested. What i would like to do is make it so if they replied from personaladdress@hotmail.com it would automatically forward onto the original sender that sent the email to info@xxxxxxx.com. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/programming/427430-cpanel-email-question.html This would save them the process of logging on to some long winded webmail program. Can anyone recommend any ways to do this? Thanks, Dave |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I can't test it at the moment so i just want to clarify what i mean and if thats what you meant then great! :S ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=427430 Right say if i used my domain email address roger@domain.com which i set up via online control panel... used in hosting. And i set up a forwarding rule, which says that all messages will be forwarded to my personal email address roger@hotmail.com. If i got a message from rob@microsoft.com to roger@domain.com. This is forwarded to roger@hotmail.com. If i simply hit reply from roger@hotmail.com and replied would it go to back to roger@domain.com or would it go straight back to rob@microsoft.com. If it wouldn't go back to rob@microsoft.com is there any way for me to do this? Man i even confuse myself sometimes! Thanks for the help more is appreciated |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | well, some email providers provide email from a specific address. Like Gmail and Live mail(hotmail) in as much as I know! I worked with Gmail one. you add the email address, the email provider sends a code to that email address, and you enter that code, and then you can send email from your gmail or hotmail from the address of your website email you want

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've set up a lot of email forwarders in cpanel. It's never changed the "from" address for me. It's not like pressing "forward" in outlook. The from should still be the original senders address. So: a@foo.com sends an email to me at me@example.com The email is forwarded to me@gmail.com In gmail i setup an identity for "me@example.com" ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=427430 I get the email I press reply I select "me@example.com" as the identity to use The "to" address is the original sender: a@foo.com I actually got sick of gmails "label" system and ended up installing roundcube webmail. You could set it up so that your client can access their email at something like webmail.domain.com or www.domain.com/webmail
