[resolved] Can anyone help me to add this script to my site?

Hello, I`m trying to add this:

http://www.domainportfolio.us/index.html

to my website but the instructions:

http://www.domainportfolio.us/docs/readme.html

are basically Chinese for me...

In details:

2.) Requirements - Top
PHP 4.3.x or newer (5.2.4+ recommended)
MySQL 4.1.x or newer (5.0.45+ recommended)
GD support (for captcha) with FreeType (GD 2.0.35+ & FreeType 2.3.5+ recommended)

What does mean all of that?

And then what I have to do?

The server requirements there are pretty standard. It is possible you do not have gd with freetype support but you probably do.

Do you know how to make a database in your server control panel? If so create 1 and take a copy of the login details such as the database username, database password and the database name.

Next open config.php in the includes directory and change the following:-

$config['Database']['host'] = 'localhost';
$config['Database']['user'] = 'THE DATABASE USERNAME';
$config['Database']['pass'] = 'THE DATABASE PASSWORD';
$config['Database']['dbname'] = 'THE DATABASE NAME';
$config['Database']['techemail'] = 'AN EMAIL YOU WISH TO USE';

Change what I have put into caps to what they are meant to be (the email can be any that you wish to use)

Next upload all the files to the server. You should be able to allow you ftp client to decide whether it uses binary or ascii so do not worry about that at the moment.

Next simply go to the install script. I can't suggest where this will be as I do not know where you are uploading the script. However if you are uploading it to the root directory it will be in http://www.domain.com/install/ on the other hand if you are uploading the script to a folder on the server it will be http://www.domain.com/folder-name/install/

Once installed delete the install folder.

I did not choose a host yet.

Do you have any advice, since all I need to do is to upload my portfolio.....it would be nice to find a free host without ADS. Any good?
