Question Launch application from client's browser...?

Hi there,

Not sure if this is possible or not and I seem to be wrecking my head trying to find an answer with the search engines... I need to launch an application on the CLIENT side for an web application I'm working on at the moment. It will be running on a local intranet so if I have to allow browser settings to be changed to be less secure than that's ok. What's is the easiest way to launch an EXE on the client side... can't seem to find a solution with JavaScript. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

A.

i know that there has been a topic on this before, and i am almost positive they answered. Try searching for posting a new topic. If you could get your thing to write to a bat file and then open it, you could do it. not sure how you would do that, but try searhing around here for that thread, ill try and find a link. Good luck!
