    | Good Auction script for new site Hey guys, I've been looking at a few auction site scripts phpprobid and a few others. I'm putting together a niche site (not a full anything goes for sale) site. So what I'm trying to find is a script/program that has a robust advanced search and is fairly customizeable and skinnable. If anyone has anything they've used or recommends....please post. Thanks a bunch, N Fran

          | phpprobid is a bad idea. Interface looks nice but the programming and support suck. You'd be best off with - http://www.phpauction.net/xl.php Seem to have the best code. Good Luck. |

| yeah...i looked at that too. Seems to be kind of clunky. Have you used this script? What site? Is it still up and running? The end user (customer side) seems to lack a bit and the skinning of it seemed to be harder to access. I was playing with the demo a little. Any other ideas? Thanks, N Fran

| I think the front end skin can be done easily enough, would cost some $$ but its not such a biggie. Secure code for an ecom app seems like a no brainer. I have used this in the past, site is still active but cannot disclose due to an nda. In fact, I've been told that most other scripts are variations of phpauctions first GPL script, so kinda sucky.
