![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Help on deciding.. I am building a few social network sites.. I was wondering.. Would it be better for me to learn ajax/php or ruby on rails.. I heard rails is a very good language.. What is the best to learn, and the most powerfull.. all help is appreciated |

![]() | There are lot of better languages than Ruby. Phyton and PHP are two of these. As far as Ruby on Rails framework is concerned, PHPCake is similar to Ruby on Rails. However, DjangoProject for Phyton is praised a lot. Ruby on Rails is just a new buzz, it's powerful but more complex than other languages. |

![]() | I would add a recommendation for using Ajax and DOM elements access, management and "magic" in general. Use the javascript library "Prototype" (www.prototypejs.org). You may want also to have a look to the EXT library, another "gem" (www.extjs.com). Regards. |
