| Senior Member | How difficult? (website tracking w/ mysql) I've never tried to learn mysql so I'm not sure how difficult this would be. I want to create a directory in one of my sites to help me track my websites. I would input the urls, which the system would save, and it would show the following: Backlinks in G/Y/M, PR, Ranking (for keywords I would input) in G/Y/M The info would all be saved, and I could click a "refresh" button which would update all the info, and have links to a historical trend (doesn't have to be a graph, just dates with figures). I'd like it to be flexible enough to be able to add more data to be tracked without messing up the historical area, and add new domains or update keywords. Also an input area for any notes I wanted to make. Does that sound difficult? Any help appreciated. Dan

| NamePros Member | mysql is a RDBMS not a programming language. You could choose a programming language and have it parse your data and store it in a mysql database. A simple method for doing this would be to create a script to read your database to get a list of sites to check and then use another script to analyze, format, and display the results.
