do i edit main.css or main.tpl or categorytree.tpl?

I want to have advertisments on the right hand side of my directory www.linkdumptube.com and I need to know which .tpl file i need to edit to have ads on the right hand side of my page. is it main.css or main.tpl or profile.tpl or top_bar.tpl or detail.tpl or category tree.tpl etc etc?

And looking at my directory,will the ads be in the BLACK colured right side or what WHITE colored right side? I want to put some in the WHITE colored right hand side and some in the BLACK colored right hand side.

Here is the template download that i'm using on my website.

You should edit the .tpl files if you want to change the layout. Which file you need to edit is depending on where you want the ads to appear. PHPLD tpl files are not really hard to understand, so you could experiment a little. Edit main.tpl and see what happens.
