Maybe Calc Bandwidth would work for you?

Doesn't seem to work with mySql, but might be easily modified.

In case anyone is interested, I tried out the script and it works fairly well. I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who has used it as well.

It looks great! It's a shame I don't have log files...

But I think DSL meant something that tells you how much bandwidth a page will use a each time it loads.

Isn't that just the total of the text and graphics that are downloaded?

A file does not have bandwidth, it has size, then the bandwidth of the connection give you an estimate of how long that channel till take to carry that file. Another factor in the total time is the latency of the link.

I would also like to know how this can be done using PHP or ASP, I really don't mind which but would prefer PHP.

kendo is an unknown quantity at this point

it can be done with some logic but its hard. You could try using popen() in php to pipe to a proccess on the server and find what the current bandwith usage the site is on.
