644 and 777 are similar it will only depend on the server "error sending request" will need to fetch data from ebay and write it to one of your files, just try changing 644 to 777 let us see if it will work, or else I may need your cpanel login to investigate further.

644 and 777 are NOT similar. In most cases 666 will let you write to the file.

in that case just leave the chmod 644 don't change to 777. what does your error log says?

im talking about error logs on cpanel not on the script.
