How can I provide a link to webalizer stats?

This must be such a simple thing, and yet I can't find the answer! I see others posting a link to their stats all the time, but when I try something similar, nothing shows up on the page.

Someone please clue me in. Thanks!

I know its possible, since I see people posting links like this all the time.

Code:

cd /home/username/www 
ln -s ../tmp/webalizer stats  
chown username.username stats 
cd ../tmp 
chmod 755 ./ 
chmod 755 ./webalizer

That should make it so you can access your webalizer stats at domain.com/stats/ without a username or password.

Yeah that's a cpanel trick deadserious listed.
Note that you are opening all access to the webalizer stats. Google will grab them too, which can be good or bad.

That's just for the one domain, right? Not all the webalizer stats for the domains on the server?

For domains or websites on sale, this is a good way of transparently showing off your stats. This may not be a good idea for active websites that aren't for sale, as then your competitor can examine and take advantage of your data.

Yes that would only be for the single domain.

And yes I agree it's probably not a very smart idea to keep the stats available to the public if you have competitors.
