Free Whois Info

I saw that whois.sc provides whois info throguh XML but it limits the queries to 1000. After that it is paid.

Is there anywhere from which i can get the information about whois for free?

Please let me know.

dnsstuff.com can run whois and maintains database of 200 whois registries you might want to try them every extension is connected to a different whois database in this format whois.theirdomain.com depending on where that specific .tld is registered by knowing that you will be able to connect to it

Well It can run queries but I was looking for a XML or API thing which can allow me or my visitors to make a query from my own site about the specific domain name.

Humm yeah but I wanted a free one. I have read about opensrs.net but don't know their API's so I am stuck.

i think most of their api's are set for resellers in mind. anyways, i'll keep looking for it.

this is out of the thread already because he requires at least more than 1000 queries per day and you can't advertise your free services only on ads area. thanks.
