Hey, just wondering why all the links on my homepage are followed by "?PHPSESSID=6d68d6cab3ff2a46bdb3568abc098e09"

Most likely PHP on your system is enabled with transid.
This is a mechanism for propagating session ID through URLs when session cookies cannot be sent on the client browser.

one easy way, if you're not using sessions in your script.... don't use session_start();

Is there any proxies that can use session id's? so they can store cookies without storing cookies? for instance, i havent found a proxy that can log into myspace.

I assumed that too but that is not the case. I've developed a completely session-free website and still the PHPSESSID remains. Why is this problem not more common than it is? Is it just my host?

if trans_id is on, it'll happen.

Most likely PHP on your host is compiled with --enable-trans-id option on
You can do a phpinfo() to check
