![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Need Help!! Invision Forum Feed Hello, I am looking to be pointed in the right direction to make something like what I have typed below work. I want to Pull Feeds from my forum at nflcentral.net, specifically team forums there, and put them on a totaly diff site. Example: Get a feed of the last 5 topics posted in the forum from here: http://nflcentral.net/forum/index.php?showforum=9 ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/programming/171670-need-help-invision-forum-feed.html and place the feed and coding on my other site at http://www.jetsnews.com somewhere so people would click that instead of the newsfeeds I have on there now. I would have to do this for all of the teams so the easiest way possible is preferred..although ANY way would be helpful. Will donate NP$ for any help, thanks. |

![]() ![]() | If your other site has access to the forum's database, you could just select the topics ordered by time posted and limit it to 5. If you don't have access to it, you would need to have some other file select the topics for your other site. If you already have an RSS feed on your other site, the easiest way is probably installing an RSS exporting mod on your forum. Invisionize.com has plenty of RSS mods to choose from. All you would need to do then is replace your current feed with the forum feed. |

Can you clarify that though? Don;t really get what ya mean. And as for the RSS feeds, you mean install a hack into the MB to make the forums syndicate the posts first right? That's part of the problem is I have no link to sydicate, but if I did that it would make it a lot easier and I'd be home free. | ||||

![]() ![]() | IPB should have an RSS exporter thing alread. Using this mod: http://mods.invisionize.com/db/index.php/f/5773 You would be able to export the newest topics based on the last posts. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks. I am in the inviison admin forum now, looks like I am going to have to create a new feed in the export feed manager section, for each forum(which will prob take a while). Then i'll just create a new javascript code for the rss and place it on the sites. Looks like a good 5 hours worth of work but at least I have found a way to do it. Thanks for the help, rep and np for the help. If anybody else has any words of wisdom, don;t be shy. |
