Hey,

I need a price quote on this script i want.

Heres what i need: *Updated*

Registration -
Email Activation
Re-Send Email
Forgot Username and/or Password

Login-
Self-explanitoary

Profile-
Editable
Name
Nickname
Email
MSN
AIM
Americas Army Username (Game username)
Avater
Signature

Private Messages-
Send/Receive Messages
Save messages
Delete them etc

Admin page -
Edit, Delete Users

Well looking back on all this it seems abit pricey, but if it will cost too much there are alot of features that i can take out.

A few iPB/{other forum software of your choice} hacks will yield what you want, really. I don't think you need to write this from scratch.

AS the above stated, you could use an existing one with some plugins, OR build your own for like $2000 and a few months....

i recently wrote a custom CMS for one of the universities over here which was similar to the one you want but probably slightly less work. I charged £1650 which is around $2900

I know i wrote this the wrong way because i know it shouldnt cost more then $500, maybe i explained it wrong.. but i want it to be VERY basic, with those features tho.. and the backend admin thing, i actually only need to be able to delete accounts.

Also, take out the comment system..

vBulletin with a few modifications should do what you want. $160 for an owned license. A quality custom skin can run you a few $100. Take a look at http://www.vbulletin.org and see if they have any required modifications.

Everything you want to do can be accomplished with vBulletin. It would be a forum similar to this one.

well if you "know" how much it should cost why did you ask?

im sure you could find someone on here to do it for $500 just like i could go and buy a car tommorow for $500 but id rather not waste my money

the code you want wrinting would take me 2 weeks to do and im a professional programmer. The software house i work for would charge you somewhere in the region of $5000-6000 for those two weeks. i think perhaps you dont underestand the complexity of the task either that or you are terrible at explaining what you want.

I would do it for $750 if I had the time. But I'm pretty tied up with a $2000 project right now.

what do you mean?

ok let me make a new plan.

First someone will click register. Once they filled out all the forms and click submit they get an email with an activation link. They click the link and login, once they login they edit their profile wich will have their name,email,location,signature, etc.

then there will be an admin panel where you can edit/delete users. thats basicly all i want.

VB has:
* All of the above
* Ability to add custom member profile information (Your army thing)
* Moderator system
* Reputation system
* User groups/permissions
* Forum search
* And more...

It's pretty obvious why there are so many people out there waiting for you to drop them $500, isn't it?

the e107 CMS will do everything you want straight out the box

total cost $0.0000

plus it doesnt look like a forum, is fully customizable and has many free templates to choose from

if you choose to go this route, i will set it up for a total cost of $50

you can get skins from http://e107styles.org/ and http://e107themes.com/news.php

normally i just get my designer to draw up a template and then i slice it and code it myself
