Laszlo rich internet application development

Hey everybody,

Not quite sure if this is right place to post this but if it's not, I am sure a moderator will move it to the right place.

I recently ran into a development suite for internet bases applications named Laszlo. It used a XML based language named LZX. The stuff I've seen so far looks really nice but I was wondering if there's anybody out here who some sort of experience with this suite or know's a little bit more about it. Since it's quite new, there's not much to find about it on the internet. Anything would be really appreciated!

I come across laszlo application few years ago, it is absolutely great stuff .
I have no experience since I couldn't afford the time/cost for that framework but I've got good responses from the lLaszlo support services to all my question.
I suggest to visit the site and to contact them, I think they will be happy to provide you any usefull information.
Best of luck!

Tnx for replying! However, I already came across their website and looked through a whole bunch of information. Since last year, they made there platform open source which made start looking at it in the first place. Furthermore, I already downloaded the server and started experimenting with it. But before I really get on with I was just hoping for somebody with some experience developing Laszlo applications.

Yes please!

I am still very much considering building our next project with Open Laszlo SDK. Been looking around the last few weeks and it seems that Laszlo has made very nice progress with their 3.* versions. However, still looking for comments/information on developing with Laszlo, most comments allmighty Google presented to me are based on the older versions. Some of them where good (easy and nice development cycle, great graphics, browser portabillity, small learning curve) and some were bad (mostly complaining about that the source code is compiled into Flash binaries and about bigger apps getting kinda slow).

So if there's anything else you could tell me please do! I still have about two weeks to decide on a platform so the clock is kinda ticking! Anwayk, tnx much!

Sounds pretty much the same as the SOLO mode with OpenLaszlo.
