· #1 | | New Member | From noob to guru - How long? I was just wondering, from the perspective of a complete beginner with no current technical skill whatsoever, how long you think is a reasonable amount of time to learn the following disciplines to a proficient level of competency:
HTML
PHP
Flash
In addition, what would you suggest the best route be for someone with little time on their hands?
Cheers

| If you need to know HTML quickly, pick up Sams Teach Yourself HTML in 24 Hours at your local book store.
They also have a flash book, in fact it's sitting right beside me as I write this.

| not only can you learn the coding languages from books, there are also free tutorials on the internet to help you learn html and php.
Site with HTML tutorials on it is : www.htmlgoodies.com
also another html tutorial site: http://www.lissaexplains.com/
Site for PHP is : www.php.net
also if you look up at the top of our forum you will see under the tabs a menu two lines of links, listed in the "Documentation" line there is the HTML manual and also the PHP manual listed there that are good refrences.
But by all means learn HTML first, and make sure that you know it pretty well before moving on to PHP. |
