| New Member | Dreamweaver MX Library Hell I have a medium site (150-200 pages), I have a library items that is a drop-down navigation menu for the whole site. My problem is that everytime I make a change to the darn thing I have to wait 3 or 4 hours for the updates to get done to all the pages and if that wasn't bad enough this process uses up all of my pc's resources so that I can't do anything else while I wait. Any suggestions or help offered would be greatly appreciated, Thanks. |

| Senior Member | You could use some server side scripting like PHP and make your drop down navigation menu a page by itself or even combine some other elements of your page with it. Then in all your pages where you want this navigation menu to appear just include it. This way when you want to make changes to your navigation menu all you would have to do is update a single page and it would be reflected throughout every page where you have included it. This could save you alot of time and work. You can read a bit more about what I'm talking about here http://webdesigntalk.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=495 |
