Centering Layers on Dynamic Background

Gang,

Almost have my problem figured out (& thanks to everyone who helped) . . . but I'm just one short step from success.

I am putting together a splash page for my site, using a Java Script as a background (which is a field of stars moving laterally across space from right to left) . . . in conjunction with 4 Layers of graphic & text content (a title, a marquee, an animated .gif of a space ship; & an "enter" link), which I wanted to center horizontally.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/programming/15237-centering-layers-on-dynamic-background.html

Could not ascertain any CSS "horizontal centering" tags (that worked well); so since I was using Dreamweaver, I went to the PVII site & downloaded an extension entitled: "Layout Designer 2", which centers layers by writing screen behavioral actions to the body.

It didn't work.

Out of curiosity, I created a new test page, inserted 4 layers w/ graphic content, applied the horizontal centering behavior; & it worked perfect.

So my question is: Is there anything associated with a dynamic Java Script action which would preclude a CSS behavioral action from functioning along with it . . . or perhaps I am using the base script incorrectly?

Let me know if anyone needs to see the total code.

Thanks very much,
