Caution PHP Help Please

I recently purchased some 'seo tools' scripts to run on my site, but they are not working. The script author said my server needs cURL installed. My host seems reluctant to do this. Is there another way around this?

Can anyone advise me on the best course of action to take?

Thanks
Rodney

Yeah, ask for a refund on the SEO tools, and buy some that work with file_get_contents, or raw sockets, or whatever.

Or you could just switch hosts. It is pretty standard to have cURL installed...

I would be tempted to switch host, but how would this affect my standings with the different search engines etc?

if you keep the same domain, it shouldn't matter.

Correct. Unless you switch hosts, AND switch the domain in the progress, it shouldn't affect your site at all.

Contact me if you need to switch hosts without losing any content at all. I can set you up with a reliable host, and transfer over everything without having any downtime on your site.

there have been rumours in the past of google penalising for switching servers (as well as things like changing whois owner information) but not sure if it is true.
