new to phpBB and need help FAST....

I am trying to get things going along on my site and am new to php completely, in fact someone else has set it up for me on my site and now I am STUCK not knowing how to get my forum categories to show up on the site. I can get to the phpBB admin panel and I can add categories and such from there, but I do not know how to get the "added" categories to go or upload to the site. Can anyone tell me how to do this?...and fast, lol.
I can go to the admin panel but from that point, under management options, I am LOST as to what to do after adding categories,etc...to get everything up and going on the actual site.
Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated,
Thanks,
Nikki

Okay, follow these steps:

1. Go in to the admin panel.
2. Then under "Forum Admin" click "Management."
3. Add your categories and forums.

Good luck!

srijit is an unknown quantity at this point

may i suggest u ditch phpbb and try smf? www.simplemachines.org
one reason is that phpbb does not have sub-forums. smf has it out of the box.

Thanks...

Thanks for the reply. I had finally figured it out and how stupid was it...???!!! All I had to do was create a forum, then add the categories, whereas I had been just going directly to categories first before creating a forum...I am so blonde to be a brunette...lol. Thanks for the input and I'll definitely check out the permissions and make sure I set it up right.
Thanks again,
nikki

Yeah, that is very important. I left one forum open one day and it didn't turn out well.
