Script for Whois w/ Predefined Combinaions/Patterns Variables?

Would like my site to have a whois engine that creates terms from a group of pre-set patterns that combine terms or sets of characters from a specific list, (the list remains constant). As an example, if I chose the characters "1" and "2" from the list, I could create terms using templates that have preset patterns that would create combinations groups labeled #,1, #2, #3, #4, #5 etc where #1= 11-11, #2=12-21, #3=21-21, #4=12-12, #5=21-12 etc. All the user need do is click on a combination (say, example #3 from above), select/click-on the characters he wants from the list (example "1", "2"), hit search and the result appears: (example 21-21 is Un/Avail). Searching all of the tld's would be nice, but I could live w/ .com and .net, only.

Any existing scripts out there that do this? Is there something existing that could be modified or am I going to need someone to code me a custom script from scratch for this? TX

BTW, what language/s would this involve?
