display top-five referral urls

Hi,
I would like to display top-five referral URLs on the main page of my site dynamically,
so that I can automatically provide reciprocal links for those sites that bring us the most traffic.

Can anyone help me create a code snippet that does this?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

rehash is an unknown quantity at this point

do you want to get them directly from log file or a database can be used?
btw, you may have problems with referral spammers

hi,
I myself wrote a simple snippet doing this.. I store the referral stats in mysql and display the top five (in terms of unique ip addresses that each site brings to us). I filter out SE referrals, and those referrals from my own sites and my own forum signatures. Also, I periodically flush the database so as to prevent any cheating...

I agree with rehash. It is too easy for referral fraudsters to manipulate the results in your list. I would not recommend that kind of a solution.
