it matters cuz they dont want pplz to be using the free version anymore

So if u already have it..u can use it for ur own site..but u can't destribute it anymore..y do u think they removed it from there website if its free?

same goes for the 2.0 trial version tht was free before...if u have it installed BEFORE the paid versions came out..then u r fine but you cant INSTALL it again and you cant GIVE IT TO ANY1

I had it before from a friend but i lost the script and he deleted it off his computer

I have it but as i said some1 told me its illigal to destribute it..i m not sure if i should give it 2 u...can any1 explain it a lil more..

Its perfectly fine.

A few free forum host scripts let you download ipb 1.3 (Once you purchased there script)

I see what your getting at...

You cant "sell" ipb

You can include it on your site in the "paid" members part of the site though

There is no way to give out IPB version 2.0.0 trial and below versions for free or paid. If IPS finds out then legal action can be taken. Only way you can use those versions is if you already had it before they were taken off the web. Any other way of acquiring versions 2.0.0 trial and below is illegal.
