| NamePros Member | "my sequel" or "my ess que ell"? how do you pronounce it? i've read that the proper pronunciation is "my ess queue ell" but i seem to hear "my sequel" all the time, i was just wondering how all you guys pronounce it.

| Professional Monkey | the reason people call it sequel is that was what how it was pronouced originally SEQUEL stands for Structured English Query Language. A revision called SEQUEL\2 was created which was renamed to SQL. So technically "ess kyoo ell" is correct but in the IT profession nearly everyone reffers to it as sequel still.
