breadcrumb problem...

Ok i'll try my best to explain:

I'm want to use breadcrumbs as part of a system navigation on a site i'm working on.

The page i'm using it on, as an example (i will also use it on others) is:
http://www.refineryfilms.com/testing/GTCP.html
*NOTE the links have yet to be put in the breadcrumb trail.

I wondered if someone could shed some light on this problem.

On the portfolio page ( http://www.refineryfilms.com/testing/portfolio.html ) I am using a java script to expand and colapse categories of thumbnails.
If the user clicks on the category link in the breadcrumb trail, I want the link to be able to go back to the portfolio page, open the appropriate category and go to that part of the page.

I hope i'm explaining myself well enough!

Is this possible? If so can anyone direct me to a solution or suggest one?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Kind regards

Steve

you mean you want it to go back to the portfolio page with the specified thumbnail list already expanded?

How will the category show up in the breadcrumbs? If I'm getting you right, you want it to look like this:

Home > Portfolio > Music Videos > Alex Parker

For when they're on the Alex Parker page (currently not yet clickable). You want them to be able to click Music videos to get back to the portfolio page, but with the MV section already expanded?

If that's it, the easiest way to do this is to just make a separate page for each section besides the main portfolio page which will look the same, but already be coded with the specific section expanded. This way you don't need to do a whole bunch of crazy coding.. The breadcrubs will just be set to point to the already-expanded-version of the page.

p.s. - you should probably code the portfolio to close all expanded sections when opening a new one.
