   | Building a True Search Engine? Hey, any Body out there know anything about building a true search engine? A close friend of mine said that there is only a few "True" search engine? Any Idea? The engine would be a special one industury search engine Any thoughts would be welcome! Thanks.

| I think he means that it crawls theweb itself and doesnt use, for instance, google's db.

        | You would need several dedicated servers and a specialized program methinks. Write a program that starts with a few websites, follows every link it possibly can then store it in a HUMONGOUS database. (Assuming your server/application was efficient and large enough to hold all the data) Am I right?
