| Senior Member | Edit php sites! Hello all! Just bought a site written in PHP, and i will like to customize but when i try to edit it in frontpage it look real weird and nothing like it when its online. Is it any editor who get the hole php site like the one online.. Hard to explain but it looks real strange when the scripts try to find its path. So my questions is if there is any editor good to make changes in Php sites Thanks, WMI

| Pro Coder & Designer | well if you open it in dreamweaver and such, you dont see the actual php code in preview mode like with html. Basicly its just code. You have to edit the code manually in the source and upload it everytime to test it ![]() i would recommend dreamweaver

| Senior Member | Well first of all Frontpage doesnt do php I think. Dreamweaver is the best. You can also install that phpdev thing and preview everything on your computer before uploading

| NamePros Member | If you're going to do PHP in FrontPage don't use PHP tags like this: <?php code goes here ?> Use tags like this: <script language="php"> code goes here </script> You still have to publish your website to see the PHP code in action, but at least it will look a little more organized in FrontPage. |
