Edit php sites!

Hello all!
Just bought a site written in PHP, and i will like to customize but when i try to edit it in frontpage it look real weird and nothing like it when its online. Is it any editor who get the hole php site like the one online.. Hard to explain but it looks real strange when the scripts try to find its path.

So my questions is if there is any editor good to make changes in Php sites
Thanks,
WMI

well if you open it in dreamweaver and such, you dont see the actual php code in preview mode like with html. Basicly its just code. You have to edit the code manually in the source and upload it everytime to test it

i would recommend dreamweaver

Or you can install Apache, PHP, MySQL on your computer and look your website on localhost... Then, you could edit code and see the results in your browser. But you can't find a WYSIWYG Php editor..

Well first of all Frontpage doesnt do php I think. Dreamweaver is the best. You can also install that phpdev thing and preview everything on your computer before uploading

kpm547 is an unknown quantity at this point

I just used this program to install my Apache/php/mysql server. Works really slick. One click and it installs everything. Give it a try.

Mr. webmasterinfo, I'd strongly recommend CPG-NUKE 9.0 aka DragonFLy CMS for you. It's real easy to edit, and it has countless features. you can download it for free from http://cpgnuke.com

Maybe cgpnuke is a good CMS but I'm sure it's not a PHP editor

If you're going to do PHP in FrontPage don't use PHP tags like this:
<?php
code goes here
?>

Use tags like this:
<script language="php">
code goes here
</script>

You still have to publish your website to see the PHP code in action, but at least it will look a little more organized in FrontPage.
