.in domains afternic vs sedo

I'm selling my .in domains and I chose Afternic because I hear sed charges major for .in domains ... is it true it's cheaper on afternic?

Thanks!!

I've had several offers on my .in names at Sedo. They charge $150 per domain as brokering fees in case of .co.in or .in . That's indeedpretty much. Don't know about Afternic.

I believe Afternic charges the same fees, no matter what the ext.

I had a .ws sale at sedo not long ago but after realizing their hefty $150 commission fee simply due to the ext. I said blah to that and cancelled the transaction. I believe if you park your names with sedo the fess drop down to 10% commission.

No doubt about it,Sedo is gonna make some money when they sell,Afternic on the hand seems to be way less sophisticated of completing transactions. The difference between the two right now IMO is that sedo is far more established,It's finda like ebay auctions VS Yahoo auctions,But expect afternic to catch up with sedo very soon,Atleast i hoping they do.

Their offer (10% commission with no minimum) only applies for gTLDs and certain ccTLDs:

Thanks for the info lind...

I mentioned in an email to sedo that Afternic didnt charge more for these other ext., I told them if Afternic didnt see a reason to charge more why do they, if Afternic can do it at the same rate/fees as a .com you would think that sedo being so big could match that, their reply was basically bs.

I removed all my names, .com .ws etc... that very day and told them to shove it...

I dunno. For .com's sedo is king if you park there, for smaller sales.
Afternic is sooooo awkward to conduct business in and they do 10% regardless of parking don't they?

I really hate afternic's transaction methods... it's like running your head into a wall twice... waiting for 7-10 days.... jumping off a building.... waiting a few more days.... and then drowning yourself.

At that point you *might* get your check.

I agree that Afternic transactions/sales are somewhat long-winded, I have only sold 1 domain via Afternic and wasnt really impressed by the time it took to complete the transaction but at least now I know abouts how long it takes, I wont be pulling my hair out anymore at least... and I'm more then happy to pay them a 10% buyer finders fee.
