I was looking over the Sedo terms of service and was wondering how you are actually allowed to send traffic to your domain. It says you can not do any of these.

# Participant may not click on advertising links displayed on Participant's own domain names, nor ask friends, family, or others to do so.

# Participant may not beg, ask, entice, or incentivize visitors into clicking on advertising links.

# Participant may not re-direct traffic to Participant's parked domain name. This prohibition extends to traffic redirected from other domain names, and purchased traffic such as pop-under or exit traffic. Each domain name must be parked separately.

# Participant may not display Participant's parked page as a pop-under or pop-up window without prior written approval from Sedo.

# Participant may not categorize domain names in unrelated categories or specify an incorrect language parameter. Participant may not submit advertising keywords that are unrelated to the subject area of the domain name.

# Participant may not generate traffic to Participant's domain name(s) or clicks on advertising links by any of the following methods: listings on newsgroups or discussion boards (with the exception of "domain for sale" postings), bulk emailing, ICQ postings, or chat room/IRC postings, iframes, zero pixel frames, hitbots, clickbots, spiders, CGI scripts, java-scripts, or any other similar method.


So basically the only traffic you can get is if someone types in your name in a search engine or they find it through Sedo. Am I correct? I am trying to figure out if I should just make my own parking pages with adsense and some other offers. then I will be allowed to advertise any way I like. Correct? Just want to utilize all resources without getting banned or account closed. I can get a good amount of targeted traffic to my sites, but I don't think it's all within Sedo's terms. Any advice please.

The big one, IMHO, for sedo is the "Domain For Sale" exception. Make lists on your current sites of domains you have for sale, including those on SEDO.
That directs traffic there. Although they seek first and formost type in traffic.

We cannot "drive" traffic to SEDO, or any other PPCs such as DH or DS.
It's natural traffic, by people typing in the name or by links from other sites.

Of course it depends on the domain name, but generally I'd say make your own parking page. I have some names parked on my own server that make several hundred times what they made at sedo.

With your own parking page you can basically do whatever you want within the constraints of your advertisers rules. All these PPC parking services look the same. Many people associate them with cybersquatters and close them before the page has finished loading. With a little bit of creativity you can create something much better than any of these services.

Note that adsense requires a real site, not just a parking page. There are thousands of scammers out there flouting this rule so it's obviously not enforced well.
