![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Question about SEDO parking Usually how long does it take for SEDO to review your domain? Last Friday I added one of my domains to SEDO and already set the nameservers, but now it's still not in my SEDO parking stats area. So wondering how long does the process take. Does anybody have previous experience? Thanks in advance. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 1) The only review SEDO does is to compare the whois automatically to make sure you own it. If they can't verify based on the whois, it can take longer. 2) Other than that, as long as the DNS resolves, you'll show up as parked at SEDO. 3) For stats to appear, you need to have someone visit/view. Otherwise the site will not appear in your stats. Best of luck, Allan

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I must respectfully but strongly disagree. There are a lot of us making a good take from parking in some format, without having to do any sort of development at all. As well, the parking services allow automated selling options, which is what most of the domains being parked are for anyway. Some of my sites, that I am not willing to part with as of yet, I do develop enough into affiliate sites, but for the most part, with hundreds of domains with nothing on them, parking is perfect. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/ppc-cpc-cpm-programs/70052-question-about-sedo-parking.html As well, the pay is great. One person's experiences are not law, however. So in the same breath that I say it works great for me, I do acknowledge that it is not perfect for everyone. And I also acknowledge that some of my domains perform poorly on the parking side of things, yet well when turned into limited content sites. However, just the opposite is true more times than not, and it requires little to no work. In my personal opinion, I don't see how you could not park at least some domains ;-) -Allan

![]() | i have hundreds i just bought some, and what i do is pretty much what the places you would park them at do put up a simple html page simular to this http://mortgages.net/ and instead of getting a few cents if someone goes some place i make dollars when they buy all your doing is lining these peoples pockets other wise if they were not making money they wouldnt be in it, they are setting on the beach sipping beers, making cash off property that belongs to you. to me its simple i wnat the money i dont want to give my money to anyone else. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Tiffany, You're right, if they weren't making money, they wouldn't be doing it. But the same is true of the affiliates that you are promoting. It is simply a different way of collecting partial revenue as a commission on a sale or possible sale. For instance, who goes to viewlaw.com hoping to buy something? Probably, very few people. But they go there looking for law info. The links on the page provide that, and I therefore get clickthroughs and $ as a result. Using affiliate pages that require a conversion to be successful works for some sites, but not all. So yes, I am lining someone else's pockets, the same way that you are lining your affiliate program's pockets (They don't give you all they take in from the company, obviously). ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=70052 Two different programs for two different situations, that's all :-) -Allan

![]() | ok on that point i agree to a point, but one thing alot of people like us do is becasue a name says something does not mean thats is the content that "HAS" to be on the website, for example i have a domain bible.com (i dont just using it) but i have well bibles to but books of all sorts, the same could be said for the viewlaw.com domain it could hold sponsers for books about law and anything else.
