Making money from ads

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone else is making good money from ads. We are using FastClick.com <- referral link removed by armstrong; please review our FAQ. We have earned quite a lot from our vistitors, anyone else had any success?

Have you seen FastClick banner ads? Pretty cheesy. Go with Ad-_Sense. Ad_-_Sense payments may not be the highest in the industry but they are very popular because of their superior content matching.

Just becuase its mostly forum based. Guess they dont like forums......

Anyone here got fastclcik on a mainly forum based site or is it just luck if the person whom reviews your site thinks it good enough ???

Don't worry about it. You are not missing out on much. Their ads are mostly by spam advertizers with useless ads like "get 10,000 free smilies!"

I have a FastClick account but no longer have any sites to show it on. They dont like forums, PTRE, PTC, PPC Searc, etc...
I have made more from FastClick than any other affiliate program except Adsense.

Sites that have content. The content has to be controlled by the site owner. With forums theres less controll. They hate any "incentive" site. Meaning if you pay your members to read or click something they wont accept you.

I like FastClick but they are really picky on the sites they approve. I dont really blame them for that.... in this day and age you have to be.

i supose they do but i do try and keep my forums to the point but as you say i supose they try to keep advertisers that use them happy with sites they allow ads on.

Google works surprisingly well on forum sites. It's system really picks up the topics quickly and makes them relevant. But heres a question, do colors make a difference in clicks?

Well ive made my forums and google ads look the same ( www.phoneforums.co.uk )

After putting it on thier once again yesterday i had some clicks which i wasnt expecting so i think its time to leave it there and it does seem to pick up the topic area's quickly

Looks nice but I recommend that you change the link color from gray to blue. I'll bet your clicks improve with this change. I would also change the BG color for your ads to white so that there's more contrast. The border color is great.

Thanks for the tips will work on that in just a moment. I will pm here if it makes a change on income for potential adsense users to see if it works
