Strange thing on my Google account today. Any ideas?

I got this strange notice from Google today:

Google AdSense ad serving has been disabled to bravopost.com

I don't own this bravopost.com site. Is this how people get you banned from Google, they just copy your code, and stick it on an offensive page?

Could be. Are they using your content too, or just your Adsense code?

BTW, you can block your ads from being displayed on sites you don't own:

- Click on Account Settings
- Scroll down to Access and Authorization
- Check the box Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account
- List your sites in the box and save.

Thanks enlytend, I got this message from my question to Google,

It sounds as if someone has placed your adsense code on their site. To prevent this, use the allowed sites feature in access and list only the accounts that are yours.

And for those who don't know,

In the Adsense set up, all the way to the right, is a tab for "Allowed Sites", I just put my main hitters in there for now, but it could be the first line of defense against being abused by spammers, or an attack on your account.

Good luck,

afaik one ramification of roping off your adsense to just the "allowed sites" is that you will not get credited for revenue on your pages that are cached or accessed via thirdparty translator sites for example. Although I will defer to enlytend or anyone else who might know for sure about this.

Cancer Survivorship
Add the cached and translator sites to the "allowed" list .

Google reports all "unauthorized" sites/IP's that are trying to display your ads. Keep an eye on this and if you see something that should be on the list, add it.
