Advice on increasing adsense revenue

I have a Wallpaper website and use adsense for PPC and despite getting 1800+ uniques a day (35,000 page impressions) with around 85 clicks i am only getting around $3 (£2 GPB) a day with a CTR of 0.25%.

Could anyone advise me on improving this please as i have another car website that gets around 650 page impressions with a CTR of 2.64% and 17 clicks and yet it gets double the earnings.

I have tried alternative ad placement into my designs from the most popular ad types but it doesnt seem to make any difference at all. Is it just wallpaper related adverts ? is there anything i can do to improve the revenue or am i wasting my time with a wallpaper website ?

any advice would be greatly appreciated

Use a CPM (cost per mille (thousand)) network. You get a certain rate for every 1,000 page views. With 1,800 uniques a day you can probably get approved with a good network that pays a lot of money. I'd say you could get about $.50 for every 1,000 page views (thats $17+ dollars a day).
CPM networks are great for sites with a lot of traffic but a small CTR...like a forum for example.

Try to use the best size of Google adsense and place it in the right position in the top of your website and use Google unit.

Also make sure your site is showing relevant ads. I just typed wallpaper in google, and got ads for home depot and a blinds store.

So it's possible if your site has little indexable content and the word wallpaper in the domain name, that home-related wallpaper ads might be showing, instead of ads for desktop wallpapers.

your niche have low cpc - thus giving you cheap revenue. but stil you can monetize it by placing adblock above the fold and blending it with the content or have it contrast with the background. The best thing to do is test. I have a niche that pays .05 but im earning good amount of money by optimizing the adblocks.

also, try to filter those ads that you think are giving you cheap rev per click. use adwords keyword tool or spyfu.

goodluck

You can use adword keyword select tool to check how much each keyword cost for advertisers. what you get for a click is about 50% from bid value.
