Question Earning Money from Your Site Help

Hey guys, I'm a domaining noob and at the moment i'm trying a bit of everything (auctions, end users, deved sites) to see what works for me. For an experiment I've been working on my site wherecanibuyacamera.com and today i got index on google (page 10 yay) for "where can i buy a camera". I hope to be no 1 sometime...
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/ppc-cpc-cpm-programs/602534-earning-money-from-your-site-help.html

I plan to put some ads on there (I've applied for Chitika, still waiting though) and reccomendations as to where I should.could place those ads for maximum payout.

In your experience whats an average percentage of clicks based on incoming traffic? (ie do 10% of visitors click ads? or higher/lower?)

And whats the average payout per click? I've seen some people claim $16 per click but thats not all the time obviously.

Any other ways to make money from your website? Thanks

Maybe you might find better luck with affiliates like Amazon ? Because if it work you will get very targeted traffic from search engines visitors who want to buy cameras.

cj.com

You can look at something like cj.com that has tons of affilaite offers and they must have some cameras. As noted Amazon can work for you.

The percentage of clicks on ads varies depending upon the nature of your niche, your visitors and placement of the ads. If you're putting adsense on your site and want to know which ad units work better at what place. You should consider watching an official adsense video on this topic by visiting adsense's official blogspot blog.

the click through rate of a website depends on a variety of factors

the subject - different audiences understand that some of the contents of a page are ads, some others don't and just click anything in front of their eyes
ad placements - you should really follow google suggestion for adsense placements and blending, their recommendations will actually increase your ctr

the earnings you get from a click depend mostly on your niche, but in every niche you'll see clicks vary a lot, from 0.01 to several $$
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=602534

moreover you could consider affiliate networks like commission junction, linkshare, shareasale etc...there are tons of networks which will pay for sales and not for clicks
obviously you get paid less often, but depending on how good your traffic is you could earn more than with cpc programs

you can even use both cpc and affiliate links
