I might have missed something on this site, so sorry if it's already mentioned.
But...I see many people living on (or at least get a good income) on PPC or affiliate. How? Do they pay for a hosting plan and set up their own website or is there some other way? How does it work?
The easiest way to make affiliate income for me is CPA (cost per action) offers from different CPA networks. Try Copeac.com, they have good support, forum, regular payouts.
You buy traffic at PPC and send it to Copeac's offers. For example, Copeac pays $3.5-$4 for every new person joined to dating site under your affiliate link. You can buy dating traffic (for keywords "dating online", "american singles" etc.) for $0.05-0.10/click on google adwords content network or using second tier PPC like Miva. Adwords search is really expensive now.
Agreed, Copeac is a great network. Basically, you build landing pages pre-selling a product or lead and then send them to the merchant sites. You pay for the traffic with the intent to make more than you spend on advertising.
I mostly started off earning on the internet on affiliate programs, I remember my first U.S. check its about U.S.$10 and my parents and wife were very happy about it.
Now I'm working for affiliate programs as well, my usual internet and marketing promotions services and software/ebooks as well
I agree. I actually just recently got in with them and I'm already quite satisfied with tier service.
Basically you sign up with a network, build a site around an offer (like dating), put ads on site, get people on site, people click ads, you make money. That however is the VERY simple explanation of how it all works. Believe me I am still learning a ton about affiliate marketing as there is just so much to learn. Hope you understand
