Sedo parking... Hoo-Ray!

I've gotten a total of 167 hits since I parked my 71 domains on Sedo 5 days ago, and a whopping .50 profit!!! Whoo-hoo!

Do you think it would be effective to develop one of my better names as a website, take all my names off Sedo and just direct them to my developed site? I'm asking this because many of the names I have are not related to each other such as zpix.net, petreplay.com, wheelsblog.com and sweetslots.net to name a few. Do you think the hits would still come in like they do with the names parked on Sedo?

For the most part, no. Unless you have good type-in domains or domains that were once developed and have traffic still from the old site, then most if not all of your visits are coming from SEDO surfers (which is mainly other domain traders), not from the web in general.

I could be wrong, but this is my impression from my experience.

Agreed. I've seen several indications that this is true of names that don't have natural type-in traffic. ie 1)Traffic increase of names that are near expiry, followed by a drop-off after the name is renewed. (Not all bad. At least you know that your name is of interest to other traders). 2)3LL/3Char .coms and .nets all have about the same traffic, whereas there is a drop-off for similar .org, .info, .biz names. (Indicates traders doing filtered searches). Although not necessarily from traders alone, you will also usually see a spike in traffic, just prior to an offer.

Parked names sometimes report robot traffic as well, but the bots either a)don't click through or b) the parking service is smart enough to filter it.
