Does domain with overture ext really bring in more traffic when domain parking?

I don't know how to find a domain with ext though many seems to be able to find it off hand quick and fast...

What about linkpops? Do they tend to bring in more visitors?

And also searches like Dmoz, what is that?

I'll start with a staple ...
One thing to always keep in mind, IMHO ... "Overture with extension" is NOT actual traffic/stats!

Use the method as part of your overall research, naturally ... but check other sources, and request ACTUAL stats/traffic verification rather than relying on any sole claims of OVT, in my view. Also, Overture stats can be manipulated ... for instance, if I go to one of the Overture network S/E's and type in "RapidBox.com" over and over and over again ... Golly gee, not surprisingly "RapidBox.com" WILL have "Overture with extension" numbers being reflected in that month's query on their Suggestion Tool. To what extent does this happen in real life? I don't know of any specific instance.

Can it happen? Yes, it can ... and that's my point, really. Check other sources for actaul traffic/stats at all times.

The linkpop is what I usually Love to see - Especially if there is not enough traffic to base it on other factors ... But don't forget to try and find out what "type" of traffic was visiting it before - Very Important for "Parking". PPC CPM ROI CPC etc ... don't mean anything if Advertisers aren't willing to pay for it ~

My hope is that the information is used constructively and for the benefit of those searching (and willing to pay real life Paypal money) for "traffic names" that truly meet their needs (and confirming actual traffic/stats on all occassions), IMHO. Plus, it's been about a year since I've posted similar (with specific regard to "Overture with extesnion") ... and this occassion just seemed appropriate, in my view.

you two guys great posts I agree Jeff and it is done I know people who brag about it. All4 you are right on the link pop is essential if they have both then you probably got a good name. Also will there be an Inventory for the name like some Buy movie names with ovt ext but few ads arein inventory so if you do get traffic to get clicks and they usually only pay like a dime. A poker name or forex or pharma with ext, link pops will be good because there is high paying ads.

I know many people are selling weird domains with ext. I simply wonder how did those domains get ovt unless like Jeff said, they manipulated the results...And as for linkpops, will it be more realiable than alexa rankings? What is alexa ranking? Linkpops = yahoo searches, google searches etc right?
