EPN Quality Click Pricing - Success or Failure?

The Ebay Partner Network Quality Click Pricing started today - I know it is early, but are you reporting a increase or a decrease oin your Earnings?

As of Day 1 for me, it is a complete failure. I have earned ZILCH and ZERO

Day 1 one last I earned $29, with the old EPN system.

I just hope I am panicking for no reason.

See my comments in this thread. I think there are quite a few affiliates who will be getting the short end of the stick under the new system.

My report also shows 0 for day 1 - which is weird, because I had clicks and I thought that this would pick up from the estimated click pricing from the previous month. But perhaps because it's just starting "for real" now, they start you out at zero and don't set a click price until there's a sale?

(In case you couldn't tell, I'm not a fan!)

I can't afford to lose $500 a month I am currently averaging from EPN.

I feel EPN introduced this new system, because they were losing too much money due to the payouts they were giving.

Lets hope we are wrong.

eBay is only a small part of my business model (more like ~300/month) so I don't have quite THAT much to lose, but still cutting it in half or by 2/3 (as the preview reports suggest) would be obnoxious! Especially since I'm doing everything they recommend doing quality-wise, I'm just not sending them a LOT of traffic or a steady stream of bidders. It's the chicken and the egg - I *could* put more focus on them, but in light of their history I really don't *want* to.

Here's two of us hoping ...

The preview tool showed me I should get about a 500% jump in earnings this month, day #1 looked damn good at about 2000% increase, have to wait and see how day #2 and the rest of the month shapes up but if it stays anywhere near their estimate of a 500% increase I will be very happy, have to update at the end of the month as I don't wanna get too happy after 1 day.

Those big sales are gone

I have one site generating most of my traffic. Earnings will likely be down becausse I was getting a few big days every month with the old system. My preview/comparision for Sept confirms that. I think some people will be taking a huge hit. Anyone attracting a very small amount of high quality traffic should be worried.

Thebutler - it Sounds like you and I are in the same boat - big sales, quality traffic, but not a lot of it? As I expected from the preview reports, my earnings are down.

I'm looking for ways to replace them - doable for some things, unfortunately not so for others ... Or I could put together a site or two to push the kind of sales they want, but honestly I'm not feeling too motivated to spend my time on them. This is two compensation model changes in how long? When's the next one ???

At the close of day #6 it appears I will have passed what I made all last month so the estimate that I will make 500% more on this new system seems about right, the products I am promoting vary across about 30+ product niches currently, I am not selling anything as expensive as cars like you guys describe seeing the bad reports on however.

Earnings are down $200 compared to last month. The new EPN really sucks.

Hi I just started with EPN so I have nothing to report, but I do have a couple of questions if anyone can help:

1) I had someone click through one of my sites that bid on and won an auction for $76.00. Is .41 cents too low of a commission?

2) Also am I eligible for future commissions from this person if he/she is already an ebayer with prior auction wins?

thx

I've had a couple of decent sized sales and steadier smaller sales than usual, so it isn't quite the bloodbath my September report predicted - the last few days my per-click has been in the $0.40's, which helped make up some ground.

Nevertheless it's about 50% of what I would have made under the old system !

43 cents for a $76 sale is a little over 1/2 percent. Hard to compare this to traditional PPC or CPA programs, but as an affiliate I wouldn't even consider promoting a "normal" affiliate program offering that low a rate.

In this program you really have to look at how much you're getting per click over time, not just one day.
