Funny, I was just reading the article with my cup of coffee when I saw this post.

My first thought was about all those times someone said "I'll make that company pay by clicking their ad a hundred times".

After the conclusion of this case you'll have to think long and hard about doing that.

I read through the whole article looking at the picture of the guy on the left thinking it was a picture of the perp. When I scrolled back up and realized it was a guy from microsoft's photo it was too late. I've now associated his picture in my mind as "the face behind click fraud." I'm going to be stuck thinking of his face every time I hear about a scammer from now on.

It's not really a foolproof way to move your adds up in the search results when the click fraud is detected and the advertiser reimbursed anyway.

Bit of a dumb idea if you ask me
