I previously tested advertising on Facebook

they're notorious for low cpm. it just doesn't convert, or very low conversion.

Has anyone tried facebook for advertising? I really don't think it is the right medium for this and would think the cpm is very very low?

Curious if anyone has had any experiences?

Like with everything, it depends on what and how you're advertising. The good thing about it is you have some amount of control over the demographic you want to reach. I know some people who've made a lot of money with affiliate stuff on facebook. I know others who have tanked. I'm going to be trying something different (for me) in the next quarter; advertising for a university looking for qualified applicants to a specialized graduate program. It'll be interesting to see how it goes.
