NameServers and Security

Hi,

Is there any risk of setting your nameserver to a non-trusted source?

Basically, I want to give a startup parking company a shot. They currently do not have any credibility, since they are so small, so I really do not trust them yet. However if I set one of my domains, say example.com, to there nameservers, is there any kind of risk involved?

Thanks,
Joe

if they show up a "bad" site on your domain (warez, illegal drugs, trojans, spyware, etc) then search engines can ban your domain. if you do decide to try them out, then be sure to check what they're displaying on your domain often.

setting example.com to their nameservers won't let them steal your domain though.

To secure your domains keep control over the registrant and admin contacts and lock the records.
