What decides on parked.com if your name is 1 click or 2 click?

Is it if they think the name is going to get a lot of type in traffic or what?

They like ultra generic or right on topic domains for one-click landers.

supergoodbuys - no
rebuiltengine - yes

And by my experience with parked.com some two page landers get better ctr anyways.

I was just wondering because this is the first time I have been with a 2 click place and I'm getting way more traffic for some reason but 0 clicks and wondered if it was because of the 2 click lander. Maybe I will start seeing some clicks hopefully.

The higher traffic could be from robots and spiders. Different parking companies have different ways of presenting the visitor stats. Some companies will treat robots and spiders as visitors while other companies will exclude these from the stats.

Sorry, I had responded to this, but I guess my wireless connection died on the post, so I'm doing this over.

I've been told that the Parked.com guys and girls use http://www.electronicdartboards.com/ to figure out if a domain should be a 1 click or a 2 click.

Joking aside, what determines a 1 click or a 2 click is a formula that Yahoo has come up with. I don't personally know the formula, but it does include some of these: number of advertisers for the particular keyword, price of the keyword, search volume for the keyword, what type of domain are we talking about, and the country the traffic is coming from.

Those are just some things that are put into the formula and I"m sure there are others as well.

Hope this helps.

Donny

So its better to park the name somewhere else if it falls under the 2 click category?

The people behind Parked are very pleasant and prompt but my domains seem to do better as 1-clicks so I've moved most back to 1-click parking services. No single parking company is best for every type domain, it seems.
