Help with domain names

I am for lack of a better term a noob. I have about 300+ names most of which do not seem to be that great for parking. I would like to try to learn a bit more as to what domains work better and what I am doing wrong. I have read the fresh names do not make good parking names. I would like to know if i have a name with high search value according to wt. why would this not be a good name to park? I thought the whole idea behind parking was to monetize your sites.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/parking-and-traffic-monetization/469932-help-with-domain-names.html

With so many of the good names already taken and to buy after market they are way out of my price range. I would like to know if a good name say garagedoors.com shows 500 searches a day then would garage-doors.com draw the same amount of traffic? I have bought names with over 60k back links and parked with no income for over 3 weeks why is that? Low key word value? I have a million more questions but wont ramble on. A little feed back from you more experienced parkers would be most helpful. Thanks in advance.

it depends on the backlinks it might be permanent or temporary, development and content is still king.
